Yes! We will ask for your email address and phone number whenever your order is processed. Just make sure the email address is current and check your spam folder in case the confirmation email ends up in the wrong place!

There will be another email sent to you with shipment confirmation and order tracking once the order is shipped. Please allow 1-2 days for USPS to update their system with the tracking info after receiving the shipment confirmation email.  

Yes! Email us at if you need to make changes, or have any other questions. If your order has already shipped, you will be responsible for additional shipping costs. We got your back if your order is still in house though!

If your order has already shipped, you will be responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is opened, you will be charged a $25.00 restocking fee.

We offer a number of "financing" services. The easiest options are Shop Pay, Afterpay and Paypal pay in 4. All 3 of these services have no credit check and no interest. To put it in simple terms, they take the total price of your order, the service captures your credit card number and splits the order into 4 equal payments. 

We do offer a more traditional financing option through Affirm. This service uses a credit check to determine your interest rate and term. Typically the platform allows for 3 month, 6 month and 12 month financing. 


Email us at if your order is damaged, incorrect, or not what you expected. If your order was damaged, please include extremely clear pictures of your packaging and a detailed description of the situation in your 1st email. Once the shipment leaves our hands, we cannot control what happens. Having proper pictures of packaging will only help expedite the process and allow us to serve you better. 

When checking out, you should see any estimated duties or taxes for your country. We partner with a service that helps you avoid any unexpected costs. 

You may be subject to tariffs and duties that are charged by your government to the purchasing party for importing items. We are not in control of any country specific tariffs and duties imposed on your order by your respective government. Taxes and duties will likely be charged on the items you order. If the taxes and duties are placed on your package by officials, the fees will be your responsibility. We are legally obligated by Border Agencies to show the original price of any of the item(s).  

We can deliver to your PO Box if your item(s) can fit inside the PO Box. Please be sure to arrange this before you place your order. We traditionally ship with UPS and your order will be shipped with USPS. Current USPS ship times are anywhere from 7-21 days inside the US. UK Customers will be required to sign for PO Boxes. 

We ship orders on Monday, Wednesday and Friday every week! All domestic orders are shipped via 2-3 day UPS shipping. international orders may take 10-14 days, or longer, due to customs. Your order ships as soon as we have given its final polish! 

We would love to have Folded Steel products in every country, however there are many restrictions on shipping knives internationally. If your country is not available, please contact us at and we will do everything possible to make it happen. 

When your order ships, you will receive an email with a tracking number. Please allow 1-2 business days for this to populate. If you have not received the email after checking your spam folder, then please contact us. 

If there are issues with your package in transit, please contact the shipping company directly before contacting us.   

Returns & Refunds

Our policy lasts 120 days from the date of delivery on all purchases, unless otherwise specified. After 120 days, unfortunately, we cannot offer you a refund or exchange. Your item must be in the same condition that you received it to be eligible for a return. Please refer to our Refund Policy for more details.

Please send pictures of the product to be returned to along with your order number and reason for return. This allows us to make sure the product is eligible for return before any shipping costs are incurred. It is your responsibility to package and protect the knife from hurting anyone or being damaged in transit. We take this very seriously. Do NOT send your knives open in a box. Please wrap them in the roll and bubble wrap the entire roll so a knife doesn’t fall out. If you are sending a single knife, put it back in the sheath and bubble wrap the entire knife.  


Our knives will cut through soft bone and cartilage. The knives will not cut through cattle femurs, deer antlers, or anything along those lines. Don’t be trying to use your lifetime craftsmanship warranty after an antler test because it will not be covered. The harder the knife is on the HRC scale, the more brittle the blade will be which makes it prone to chipping. We have flexibility in the steel so that the knife rolls instead of chipping so that the rolled blade can be resharpened. Leave any bones in question to an electric knife or saw! 

Folded Steel is based in Nashville, Tennessee. We have a man on the ground running the everyday operation of our forge in Pakistan and we partner with artisans in China and Brazil. We receive the knives in our Nashville facility where we do a final fit and finish on the knives and QC every single knife before it lands in your hands. Knife Care

The best way to sharpen your new knife is with whetstones. We recommend grabbing a 1000/6000 grit combo stone and a leather strop. It can be intimidating at first but with a little practice it is by far the best way to keep your knives sharp. Stay away from pull through sharpeners, as the can damage the edge and scratch the sides of the Damascus.

Your new blade is High Carbon steel. The knife should be hand washed in warm soapy water, immediately hand dried, and followed up with a light coat of oil. You can use mineral oil or any type of cooking oil. If you use cooking oil make sure to replace it regularly, as it can spoil and get sticky. Keep your knife far away from the dishwasher because these bad boys are not dishwasher safe. 

There is still hope! Damascus steel is high in carbon and is at risk for light rust. The care for Damascus steel is similar to the care of a cast iron pot. If rust starts showing up then follow these steps. First, hand wash and dry with a soft towel. Then apply apple cider vinegar and scrub with a cloth. This process may be repeated until the rust is gone. You’ll want to follow up with a good wash, dry, and coat of oil! 

We currently offer a table top magnetic knife block to hold your knives and prevent moisture from building up. All knives come with a leather sheath or roll which is recommended to be used for transporting and not storing. When placing your knives in the sheath or roll make sure they are well oiled to create a great environment.
